Η ανάγκη για αντιφασιστική δράση δεν σταματά ποτέ.



Έχουν περάσει 35 χρόνια από το φασιστικό Πραξικόπημα και τα αποτελέσματά του τα ζούμε μέχρι σήμερα. Φέτος ειδικά, η όποια προσπάθεια για επαναπροσέγγιση και ειρήνη ήταν στο στόχαστρο συνεχών επιθέσεων. Οι μετανάστες έγιναν όσο ποτέ οι αποδιοπομπαίοι τράγοι για να δικαιολογηθεί η κρίση και η ανεργία. Οι ακροδεξιές οργανώσεις έχουν αρχίσει να πληθαίνουν με γοργούς ρυθμούς.


Την Πέμπτη, 25 Ιουνίου, στο πάρκο της Πλατείας Ελευθερίας η Νεολαία Ενάντια στον Εθνικισμό οργανώνει το 2ο αντιφασιστικό φεστιβάλ.


Στο φεστιβάλ συμμετέχουν και άλλες οργανώσεις κάποιες από τις οποίες είναι: Κίνηση πολιτών ALERT, Περιοδικό Ανατροπή, Περιοδικό Ρεύμα, Active Citizenship Group, Πλατφόρμα Ε/κ και τ/κ καθηγητών, Εργατική Δημοκρατία, Arteri, YKP youth, Baraka cultural centre, KSP, KGP, Σύνδεσμος Κυπροκουρδικής Φιλίας



Το φεστιβάλ διαρκεί από τις 6-12 το απόγευμα και είναι ανοιχτό για όλους. Συμπεριλαμβάνει μουσική, θέατρο, βίντεο προβολές, έκθεση φωτογραφίας, παιδική γωνιά, ποτά και άλλα πολλά.


Συμμετέχουν καλλιτέχνες, Ελληνοκύπριοι, Τουρκοκύπριοι και μετανάστες. Μερικοί από τους καλλιτέχνες είναι: Sol Anahtari, Dj Frankie, Geger Xwin, Roof Top Theatre, Haji Mike, Alice In Chains.

Last year the campaign to stop the fascist camp in cyprus ended with an antifascist festival on the 14th of July.
The campaign was a big success as the fascist camp DID NOT HAPPEN AFTER ALL!!!!!!

However the fascists in cyprus are growing; and the nationalists and all the groups that promote racial and national hatred.
Especially this year we had many examples of nationalist attacks in education, on the streets and immigrants.
Therefore it’s time for another antifascist festival!!!

The 2nd Antifascist Festival organised by Youth Against Nationalism in Cyprus will take place on June 25th in the Park of Eleftherias Square, starting at 18:00.

The festival is open to all orgs that want to participate and also all the people that want to participate in the making , or make something! artistic, music, photos…etc…!

Antifascist action does not stop when the fascists stay “quietly” in their nests… we dont need an attack from them to get organised and express antifascism.
whole last year nationalist propaganda, hatret towards t/c and migrants was very strong in the south part of cyprus at least.

new ultra right wing-neofascist groups were created and got stronger.
every attempt for bicommunal and or peace promoting activity was under attack from members of Parties and organisations.

there were small victories at the end of the academic year as well. multicultural festivals, celebrations in schools like rizokarpaso, bicommunal Mayday celebration etc were passing the message: no more hatred, no more nationalism, no more fascism, we want to live peacefully in a united island.
all these voices we are trying to unite and to strengthen with this festival. to remind to the fascists and nationalists that we are here. to show to the people that fascism and nationalism is not the solution.
